The
United Nation declared 2012 as the UN International Year of
Cooperatives. This declaration is in recognition of the vital role and
contribution of cooperatives to socio-economic development. This is an
opportunity for Fair Trade Organizations that are operating in a
cooperative set up to showcase best practices under the Fair Trade
approach. The Global Launching will be on 31 October 2012. Before the
launching, there are opportunities to get involved for WFTO members. See
